Michaela is an Australian author, mother of three and collector of pooches.
For too many years she sat in an office, pretending to work, while actually emailing her best friend random cat videos. Despite the entertainment factor, this wasn’t how she envisioned her life.
At the age of 27, Michaela's life took a tragic turn. She decided it was time to give up on the mundane, and focus her energy on turning her son’s bedtime stories into books that all children could cherish.
When she is not busy working on the next instalment of Frank the Wiener Dog, or the next chapter of Misfortunes With Men, you will find her chasing her dogs along the beach, or playing with her children in a park.
Michaela enjoys dabbling in all genres, but has a soft spot for children’s books, 'We all have that special book we loved as a child, and there is something beautiful about becoming a parent, and the excitement you feel when you get to share that special book with your own child. It is my purpose to create those special stories, to create children’s books that will be loved now and cherished for generations to come.'
Frank the Wiener Dog is more than a children’s favourite. He is a much-loved pooch that found his way into Michaela’s children’s bedtime stories. After many years of making her own children giggle, with Frank’s crazy antics, Michaela decided to share Frank’s adventures with the world.
Born from a beautiful bond between mother and child, Frank the Wiener Dog has now grown into a series of books for all to enjoy.
